After some years in which I had a preference for clothing my dolls in light, creamy-pastel colors, I astonished
myself by the colorfulness of my Collection 2011. The clothing of my Museum Edition - Mellsande and Perceval -
really develops a firework of colors; red, orange, pink compete in brightness. The colors mark them as street artists, as
wandering people. Even if their clothing is styllstically guided by a century gone-by, they do not necessarily have to
originate from this epoch; they could just as well be contemporary people wearing a costume. All of the dolls in my
Classic Collection 2011 seem to be artists, they are playing with their identity a little bit: is the princess with the frog
really the one from the fairy-tale "The Frog King" - or does she only act the part?
I invite you to take part in my dream. I hope that you, my collectors will like my Classic Collection 2011. ~ Hildegard Gunzel
